We are excited to announce the upcoming arrival of
Southland’s Sabertooth Mascot! To celebrate, the PTO would like to have a
Mascot Naming Contest. Everyone at Southland is welcome to enter a name of
their choice for our new Sabertooth Mascot.
Starting, Wednesday, January 15th we
will make an announcement that will explain the Mascot Naming Contest. After the announcement,
there will be a box located in the main office for everyone at Southland to
enter their suggestions. We will have until Thursday, January 23rd
at 3 p.m. to drop off entries in the ballot box located in the main office.
After that we’ll tally up 6 of the top recommendations and have students vote for their favorite name.
As an extra Spirit Friday incentive,
everyone wearing a Southland T-shirt or the color blue will get 2 votes that
day!
We are so excited to reveal our newest addition to Southland and
can’t wait to see his/her positive impact on our school.
